Geography and Climate
Srinagar is situated at an altitude of approximately 1,585 meters (5,200 feet) above sea level, on the banks of the beautiful Dal Lake and the Jhelum River. The Zabarwan Range lies to the west of Dal Lake, while the Pir Panjal Range is to the south.
